Meeting with Rio Tinto
The Yindjibarndi Aboriginal Corporation PBC has met with Rio Tinto Iron Ore negotiating team and a representative of Rio Tinto Exploration to discuss potential developments on Yindjibarndi country.

Andrew Forrest in Roebourne
On Monday 10th March, 2008, Fortescue Metals Group Chairman Andrew Forrest met representatives of Yindjibarndi People in Roebourne for the first stage of negotiations for a comprehensive land access agreement on Yindjibarndi country.

Ngarluma Yindjibarndi Native Title Determination
In a ceremony on the Old Reserve outside Roebourne, on the 2 May 2005, The High Court of Australia recognised some Ngarluma and Yindjibardi Native Title rights.
